What's on next?

October Production.

We are pleased to announce that Chris Partridge will be directing a selection of short plays from Alarms and Excursions by Michael Frayn.

The plays examine some of the frustrations experienced at the hands of modern technology. We've all become irritated by a mysterious buzz, a continuous humming, a burglar alarm or cooker timer going off unexpectedly and refusing to be turned off. Imagine the devices in your home turning against you one after the other.  Such mysteries are not just confined to the home, it can happen anywhere; a politicians is lost for words when the auto cue goes off script; an in-flight announcement ends with more than a seat belt coming undone.  Cast your mind back to the days before mobile phones, imagine being stuck at the airport waiting for a lift and the inconvenience of relying on public telephones.  The frustration of it all when the only thing you are communicating with is an answer phone. Chaos and exasperation ensue in these hilarious Michael Frayn plays.

The performances will be held at Swallowfield Parish Hall on Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October.   Doors will open at 7.00pm and a light supper will be served. The performance will start at 8.00pm.

There will be an interval between Part 1 and Part 2.

Tickets will be priced at £10.00 and will be available from our usual outlets; Swallowfield Parish Stores, our Box Office 07555 073 597 or on line via www.ticketsource.co.uk/russellplayers. The release date for the tickets will be Monday 16th September.

Be sure to make a note of at least one of theses dates in your diary and we'll look forward to seeing you there for an evening of lively entertainment.
